Full job description QA Automation Engineer role requiring 4-9 years experience with strong hands-on Playwright automation using JavaScript/TypeScript. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining E2E automated test scripts, designing Page Object Model (POM) frameworks, building and enhancing automation frameworks, API and backend testing, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines. Must handle dynamic elements, flaky tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environment. Required skills: Playwright, POM, JavaScript/TypeScript, locator strategies, CI/CD, Git, API testing, Agile practices. Good to have: Cypress, Selenium, C#/.NET, xUnit, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, React.

Handle dynamic elements, DOM synchronization issues, waits, timeouts, and flaky tests
Work with Playwright features such as browser contexts, multiple user sessions, file uploads/downloads, and debugging tools
Design and implement the Page Object Model (POM) for reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation scripts
Create page classes, reusable methods, and common components to reduce code duplication
Implement effective test data management and environment-specific configurations
Follow coding standards and automation best practices to improve framework maintainability
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Playwright
Implement reusable utilities, fixtures, hooks, assertions, configuration management, and reporting mechanisms

Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines
Identify, investigate, and resolve flaky tests and framework-level issues
Contribute to test coverage measurement and continuous improvement of automation practices
Develop automated tests for frontend and backend components
Perform API and integration testing using appropriate tools and frameworks
Validate application workflows and data consistency across system components
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and engineering leads across multiple squads
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to testing strategy discussions
Document defects with clear reproduction steps, environment details, and supporting evidence Requirements 4–5 years of experience in QA automation or software engineering with a testing focus Strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation Experience designing and implementing Page Object Model (POM) Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or another relevant programming language Strong understanding of locator strategies, synchronization, debugging, and flaky test handling Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated test execution Knowledge of API testing and integration testing Familiarity with Agile development practices Tech stack Playwright JavaScript TypeScript Page Object Model CI/CD Git API testing Integration testing Cypress Selenium C# .NET xUnit Docker Google Cloud Platform React
