Full job description

The Software Engineer (Tier-2) role supports availability, performance, reliability, monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence of FreeWheel platforms, focusing on the Streaming Hub application. Responsibilities include Tier-2 support for customer-facing issues, maintaining UI components, understanding business logic and workflows, troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues, building automation tools, debugging code, collaborating with teams, participating in production support and incident response, assisting with release processes, and contributing to documentation and best practices. The role requires working nights and weekends as needed. Preferred qualifications include experience with Python and/or Go, troubleshooting web applications and distributed systems, frontend/UI development knowledge, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS/OCI), AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Lambda), monitoring tools, CI/CD tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git), Linux fundamentals, networking knowledge, and secure software development practices. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant work experience are required. Salary range is $120,212.52 to $180,318.78 based on experience. The position is full-time and on-site in Reston, Virginia.
