Full job description

MiQ is seeking a Programmatic Advertising Business Development Manager to develop and expand programmatic advertising business in auto, finance, and travel industries for China outbound business. Responsibilities include developing new clients and maintaining partnerships, setting and achieving sales targets, promoting programmatic advertising through workshops and demos, monitoring industry trends and compliance, collaborating with internal teams to optimize campaigns, providing industry insights to product team, analyzing market and competitor data, and updating sales toolkits. Requirements include 5-10 years of digital advertising sales experience with programmatic advertising preferred, experience in auto, finance, or travel industries, proven sales track record, familiarity with programmatic advertising ecosystem (DSP, DMP, Ad Exchange), excellent sales and negotiation skills, fluency in Mandarin and English, strong strategic thinking and project management skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Locations include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, China.

What you'll do

  • Develop new clients in auto, finance, and travel industries and maintain existing partnerships
  • Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with actionable plans
  • Act as evangelist for programmatic advertising in verticals through workshops, demos, and case sharing
  • Monitor industry trends and compliance requirements, highlight company competitive edges
  • Collaborate with Client Services, Trading, Data Analytics teams to implement and optimize campaigns
  • Work with product team to provide industry insights and promote product customization
  • Collect and analyze market and competitor information to identify opportunities and risks
  • Summarize successful sales cases and update sales toolkits to support team

Requirements

  • 5-10 years or more of digital advertising sales experience, preferably in programmatic advertising
  • Experience with client resources or sales in auto, finance, or travel industries preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and converting client objectives into media proposals
  • Experience cooperating with advertising agencies or direct clients
  • Familiarity with procurement process and decision-making in programmatic advertising for auto, finance, and travel sectors
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystem including DSP, DMP, Ad Exchange
  • Ability to explain technical advantages and product characteristics clearly to clients
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build long-term cooperative relationships with clients at all levels
  • Sensitivity to market data and industry trends with ability to adjust sales strategies
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English for business communication
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and ensure on-time delivery
  • Proactive work attitude, strong responsibility, ability to work independently
  • Willingness to accept challenges in a fast-paced and dynamic market environment
