Full job description

MiQ is seeking a Programmatic Advertising Business Development Manager to develop and expand programmatic advertising business in the auto, finance, and travel industries for China outbound business. Responsibilities include developing new clients, maintaining partnerships, setting and achieving sales targets, organizing industry events, educating clients on programmatic advertising, monitoring industry trends, collaborating with internal teams to optimize campaigns, working with product teams for customization, analyzing market and competitor data, and updating sales toolkits. Candidates should have 5-10 years of digital advertising sales experience, preferably in programmatic advertising, with experience in auto, finance, or travel industries. Must have proven sales success, understanding of programmatic ecosystem (DSP, DMP, Ad Exchange), excellent negotiation skills, fluency in Mandarin and English, strategic thinking, project management skills, and a proactive attitude. Locations include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.

What you'll do

  • Develop new clients and maintain partnerships in auto, finance, and travel industries
  • Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Organize industry workshops, product demos, and case sharing sessions
  • Educate clients on programmatic advertising value in specific vertical scenarios
  • Monitor industry trends and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with Client Services, Trading, and Data Analytics teams to optimize campaigns
  • Work with product team to customize and iterate programmatic products
  • Analyze market dynamics and competitor information
  • Identify business opportunities and risks, provide strategic suggestions
  • Summarize successful sales cases and update sales toolkits

Requirements

  • 5-10 years or more of digital advertising sales experience, preferably in programmatic advertising
  • Experience with client resources or sales in auto, finance, or travel industries preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and converting client objectives into media proposals
  • Experience cooperating with advertising agencies or direct clients
  • Familiarity with procurement process and decision-making chains in programmatic advertising
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising ecosystem including DSP, DMP, Ad Exchange
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build long-term cooperative relationships with clients at all levels
  • Sensitivity to market data and industry trends with ability to adjust sales strategies
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English for business communication
  • Strong strategic thinking and project management capabilities
  • Proactive work attitude, strong responsibility, ability to work independently
  • Willingness to accept challenges in a fast-paced and dynamic market environment
