Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python or equivalent experience
Proven experience leading software engineering teams responsible for delivering complex customer-facing products at scale
Minimum 3 years of people management experience
Solid technical foundation in software architecture, system design, distributed systems, application development, and modern software engineering practices
Ability to lead highly complex technical initiatives across organizational boundaries and influence engineering strategy beyond an individual team
Experience driving engineering quality through automation, CI/CD, testing strategies, code reviews, telemetry, monitoring, and operational excellence
Experience building and shipping software using modern development platforms, frameworks, and cloud technologies
Strong problem-solving, debugging, decision-making, and execution skills
Ability to lead through ambiguity, balance short-term delivery with long-term investments, and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders
Excellent verbal, written, and executive communication skills
Proven experience developing engineering talent and building inclusive, high-performing teams
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check
Availability to participate in live-site support and operational leadership activities
Ability to collaborate effectively across global engineering organizations and time zones
