Principal Software Engineer role focused on building highly scalable, performant services hosting state-of-the-art machine learning models for Microsoft's Ads Frontdoor team. Responsibilities include working with stakeholders to define feature requirements, system design, ensuring security and compliance, implementing features with high quality, maintaining live services, on-call rotations, performance profiling, and proposing solutions to improve system latency and capacity. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 6+ years coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and 5+ years experience in distributed systems, multi-threading, machine learning, Azure, and performance analysis. Position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA. Salary range USD $142,800 - $274,800 annually, higher in SF Bay area and NYC.
