Microsoft Advertiser Platform team seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead complex multi-team initiatives, establish architectural direction, and influence engineering strategy. Responsibilities include technical leadership for advertiser-facing products, defining long-term technical strategy across frontend, service, and data layers, leading cross-team initiatives, building user experiences with React and TypeScript, applying customer insights and telemetry, developing reusable platforms, driving technical alignment, establishing engineering practices, resolving design and production issues, mentoring engineers, and contributing to organizational strategy. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 6+ years coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, and passing Microsoft Cloud background checks. Preferred skills include full-stack development, architecture design, leadership of complex initiatives, secure and reliable solution delivery, experience with C#/.NET, Azure, experimentation, telemetry, CI/CD, automated testing, and mentoring senior engineers.
