Full job description

The Principal Product Manager Technical (PMT) will lead the development of advertiser experiences for Sponsored Products and Brands' off-Amazon offerings. Responsibilities include advocating for advertisers, partnering with cross-functional teams to understand needs, translating insights into product requirements, collaborating with Science and Engineering on roadmap and tradeoffs, and delivering solutions with urgency. The role requires strong AdTech background, experience with advertiser-facing products, hypothesis development, experimental evaluation, data-driven recommendations, and use of AI tools for research and prototyping. Basic qualifications include 2+ years of end-to-end product delivery experience, 8+ years of technical product or program management experience, a Bachelor's degree, experience with feature delivery, roadmap strategy, engineering leadership, and technical product management. Preferred qualifications include experience working directly with engineers, project management methodologies, business analysis, process improvement, and deep understanding of advertising technologies. Locations include Seattle, Washington; New York, New York; and Palo Alto, California. Salary range is $197,900 to $267,800 annually. What you'll do

  • Own the evolution of how advertisers experience Sponsored Products and Brands' off-Amazon offerings
  • Advocate for advertisers to drive outcomes and simplify investment decisions
  • Partner with Sales, Go-to-Market, Product Marketing, and Science leaders to understand advertiser needs
  • Translate insights into solutions and clear requirements to drive product-led growth
  • Collaborate with Science and Engineering to navigate tradeoffs and shape a prioritized roadmap
  • Move with urgency to deliver solutions to advertisers
  • Engage directly with advertisers and validate assumptions quickly
  • Develop hypotheses and critically evaluate experimental designs and outcomes
  • Develop data-driven recommendations and communicate them to stakeholders and leadership
  • Leverage AI tools for research, analysis, and prototyping

Requirements

  • 2+ years of end to-end product delivery experience
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience technical product management
  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
  • Experience with and deep understanding of advertising technologies and AdTech offerings
