Full job description

Hiring Principal Product Manager to lead vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-driven creative products in Microsoft Advertising. Role requires collaboration with Data Science, Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Legal, and Finance. Responsibilities include product leadership, customer advocacy, decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, data and AI innovation, go-to-market leadership, and industry leadership in AI-powered creative advertising. Requires Bachelor's degree and 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, strong ads ecosystem knowledge. Preferred 12+ years experience, with significant product market and launch experience, and 5+ years in digital advertising creative products. On-site work expected within 50 miles of Microsoft office in US. Salary range $139,900 - $274,800 USD annually, higher in SF Bay Area and NYC.

What you'll do

  • Develop and communicate the strategy and roadmap for creative automation, GenAI asset generation, and creative quality systems across Microsoft's ad ecosystem
  • Represent the product to advertisers and agencies, deeply understand their creative workflows, and champion those needs internally
  • Navigate ambiguity, make tough prioritization decisions, and drive alignment across engineering, design, and business stakeholders
  • Partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive creative product outcomes
  • Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams to leverage creative performance signals and generative models that elevate asset quality and safeguard brand trust at scale
  • Lead go-to-market efforts with marketing and sales, ensuring product launches drive adoption, improve creative coverage, and deliver measurable advertiser impact
  • Establish Microsoft as a leader in responsible AI-powered creative advertising by shaping internal practices and influencing industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of ads ecosystem, including creatives, targeting, measurement, or optimization
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 6+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market
  • Preferred: 8+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market
  • Preferred: 8+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience developing digital advertising creative products, including creative automation, generative AI asset pipelines, or ad format and quality systems
