Full job description

Principal Product Manager role responsible for owning vision, strategy, and roadmap for Microsoft Advertising’s Campaign Management products. Collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, UX, Product Marketing, Legal, and Finance to design AI-driven advertising solutions. Lead product strategy, customer advocacy, execution, cross-functional collaboration, data and AI innovation, go-to-market leadership, and industry leadership in responsible advertising. Requires Bachelor's degree and 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development. Preferred 15+ years experience with significant product market and launch experience, including 5+ years in digital advertising products on the demand/buying side platform. Salary range USD $165,600 - $296,400 per year (general US), USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year (SF Bay Area and NYC). Hybrid work model with office presence expected at least four days per week within commute distance.

What you'll do

  • Develop and communicate the strategy and roadmap for search targeting and controls across Microsoft’s ad ecosystem
  • Represent the product to customers, deeply understand their needs, and champion those needs internally
  • Navigate ambiguity, make tough prioritization decisions, and drive alignment across engineering, design, and business stakeholders
  • Partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive product outcomes
  • Collaborate with Data Science and ML teams to leverage insights and models that power precision targeting and safeguard brand trust at scale
  • Lead go-to-market efforts with marketing and sales, ensuring product launches drive adoption, transparency, and measurable advertiser impact
  • Establish Microsoft as a leader in responsible advertising by shaping internal practices and influencing industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree AND 15+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market
  • 8+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market
  • 8+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience
  • 5+ years experience developing digital advertising products, especially on the demand/buying side platform
