Full job description

Hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead SMB onboarding and support experiences in Microsoft Advertising. Role involves owning vision, strategy, and roadmap to improve customer setup, activation, troubleshooting, and growth. Requires collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Support. Must have 8+ years product/service/program management or software development experience (12+ preferred) and 5+ years in digital advertising products preferred. Responsibilities include defining product vision, understanding customer pain points, prioritizing and executing product initiatives, partnering with data teams, aligning cross-functional teams, leading go-to-market strategies, and influencing platform-wide onboarding approaches. Position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA. Salary range USD 142,800 - 274,800 per year, with higher ranges for SF Bay Area and NYC.

What you'll do

  • Own the long-term vision and roadmap for SMB onboarding and support experiences
  • Understand SMB customer pain points and translate needs into scalable product capabilities
  • Make prioritization and tradeoff decisions and drive execution across multiple teams
  • Partner with Data Science and analytics teams to identify pain points and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with Sales, Support, Marketing, Legal, Policy, and other teams to ensure compliance and readiness
  • Lead launch and iteration strategy for onboarding and support improvements
  • Help shape Microsoft Advertising’s broader approach to customer onboarding and support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 5+ years experience in developing digital advertising products
