The Principal, Insights & Innovation role at Samba involves developing advanced media intelligence solutions using Samba's data and external licensed data. Responsibilities include designing behavioral and contextual targeting, media planning, insights, measurement, and optimization solutions; partnering with sales for customer discovery and ideation; monitoring industry trends; applying statistical methods; building interactive client dashboards with JavaScript and React; incorporating AI and agentic workflows; supporting thought leadership; collaborating cross-functionally; prototyping and scaling solutions; and applying Samba methodology to large data signals. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience, 4-6 years in data science or related fields, media and advertising industry knowledge, strong statistical and programming skills (Python, SQL, JavaScript, React), experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI), and preferred skills in AI workflows and multimodal models. The position offers a salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 depending on location and experience, plus bonuses, health and wellness benefits, insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (analytics, statistics, data science, computer science, or mathematics) or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus
4 to 6 years in data science, analytics, computer science or applied research
Experience building and shipping data-driven applications and presenting results to stakeholders or customers
Media, advertising, or measurement experience (cross-channel focus on CTV, addressable audiences, contextual targeting, attribution, and causal inference)
