The Ads Monetization Algo team at Microsoft Advertising develops and optimizes real-time bidding and auction algorithms to improve ad performance and revenue. The role requires expertise in statistical machine learning, decision theory, operations research, optimization, mathematical modeling, causal inference, game theory, and mechanism design. Responsibilities include designing bidding strategies, auction mechanisms, large-scale experiments, automation algorithms for advertisers, marketplace optimization methods, and causal reasoning models. Candidates must have a relevant degree with 4-6+ years of experience or equivalent, with preferred qualifications including 8+ years in production system development and 3 years in auto-bidding or auction design. The position is full-time, on-site in Redmond, WA or Mountain View, CA. Salary ranges from $142,800 to $274,800 annually, higher in SF Bay Area and NYC.
