Full job description
FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a Senior Software Architect with 10+ years experience, including 5+ years leading distributed, high-scale, low-latency systems. The role involves designing scalable product architectures for ad tech platforms including SSP, DSP, audience/identity, measurement, and revenue science. Responsibilities include producing solution blueprints, architecture roadmaps, and guiding cloud-native system design (Kubernetes, microservices, observability, security, privacy). Candidates must have expertise in ad serving architectures, header bidding, programmatic workflows, identity and addressability, privacy-centric audience measurement, and strong security practices. Experience with cloud platforms, API management, and FinOps is required. The role requires excellent communication skills and mentoring abilities. Locations include Reston, Virginia; Chicago, Illinois; and Englewood, Colorado. Salary ranges from $140,464 to $230,762 depending on location and experience. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Drive measurable operational excellence tied to business SLAs/SLOs
Mentor architects and engineers; evolve Enterprise Architecture practices

Requirements
10+ years in software architecture/engineering
