AppLovin is seeking a Partner Solutions Engineer - Ads based in Palo Alto. This role involves owning the technical relationship with strategic third-party integration partners, focusing on onboarding, integration, troubleshooting, and driving adoption of CAPI, web SDK, and APIs. Responsibilities include guiding partners through implementation, resolving technical issues using data analysis, building internal tools, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve product and API roadmaps. Candidates should have 2+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript), SQL skills, and experience with web-based ad tech integrations. Preferred qualifications include experience in ad tech, performance marketing, e-commerce platforms like Shopify, and prior partner or solutions engineering roles. What you'll do
- Own end-to-end technical onboarding and integration experience for strategic 3P partners across CAPI, web SDK, and APIs
- Guide advertisers and partners through correct implementation of tracking and data infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving misconfigurations
- Serve as primary technical contact for partner-specific issues including API flows and sandbox/testing environments
- Drive adoption by translating complex technical requirements into clear guidance for technical and non-technical audiences
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve technical issues with web SDK, CAPI, and API integrations using data analysis
- Query and visualize large data sets to identify anomalies, performance drops, attribution discrepancies, and integration edge cases
- Build internal tooling and scripts to streamline troubleshooting, automate validation, and accelerate partner debugging
- Identify patterns in partner issues and translate recurring friction points into product improvement recommendations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to architect and prioritize scalable solutions to integration problems
- Act as liaison between partners and internal engineering teams to ensure partner feedback influences product and API roadmaps
- Support new integration pilots by owning sandbox validation and proactive issue resolution
- Influence decision-making through data-centric presentations to internal stakeholders and leadership
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-quality code
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong foundation in web-based integrations including CAPI, server-side tracking, APIs, pixels, or equivalent ad tech infrastructure
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or general-purpose language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) with ability to build lightweight tooling independently
- Experience querying large data sets with SQL and working directly in data to debug, validate, and surface insights
- Clear and precise written communication skills for both internal technical discussions and external partner communications
- Preferred: Experience in ad tech, performance marketing, or e-commerce advertising with familiarity with attribution, data signals, ROAS, and measurement concepts
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Google Tag Manager, or equivalent
- Preferred: Experience working with enterprise or strategic B2B partners in a technical capacity
- Preferred: Track record of identifying product gaps from operational experience and driving improvements into engineering roadmaps
- Preferred: Comfort operating in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
- Preferred: Prior experience in solutions engineering, partner engineering, or forward-deployed engineering roles
