Full job description

Viant’s TVision team is developing mobile applications for in-home TV and video audience measurement across iOS and Android. The role involves collaborating with data scientists, backend engineers, and operations teams to build reliable, privacy-conscious mobile solutions integrated with backend APIs. Responsibilities include building and maintaining mobile apps, implementing high-fidelity activity tracking, supporting device health monitoring, designing user interfaces, ensuring app reliability, and upholding data privacy standards. Requirements include 2+ years of mobile development experience, knowledge of cross-platform architectures, backend API integration, front-end web technologies, UX design, and privacy controls. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Base salary range is $130,000 - $150,000. Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain mobile applications that power TVision’s audience measurement panel across iOS and Android
  • Partner with data science and measurement teams to implement always-on, high-fidelity activity tracking
  • Collaborate with device and panel operations teams to support device health monitoring and panelist management workflows
  • Design and improve intuitive, accessible user interfaces that enhance panelist engagement and retention
  • Integrate mobile apps with backend services and APIs supporting data collection and system orchestration
  • Ensure application reliability through testing, code reviews, and proactive monitoring
  • Uphold strict standards for data privacy, security, and consent management across all user interactions
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve app performance and stability

Requirements

  • 2+ years of mobile application development experience (iOS and/or Android)
  • Strong understanding of cross-platform mobile architectures and development best practices
  • Experience working with backend APIs and data systems (Python-based environments a plus)
  • Familiarity with front-end web technologies (HTML, JavaScript)
  • Experience with user experience design, usability testing, or accessibility best practices
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and privacy controls for user data
