Full job description
Kargo is hiring a senior software engineer to maintain and improve in-app advertising performance and reliability across multiple platforms including iOS, Android, and WebViews. The role involves diagnosing complex failures, shipping SDK and rendering improvements, optimizing latency and efficiency, collaborating with Business Development on vendor integrations, resolving production issues, communicating technical findings, and raising engineering quality through code review and testing. Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience with mobile app advertising technologies, strong knowledge of the mobile programmatic ecosystem, debugging skills, performance engineering fundamentals, and real-device QA and debugging expertise. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of mobile privacy and measurement impacts and a relevant bachelor's degree. The position is full-time, senior level, based in New York, NY, with a salary range of $150,000 to $185,000 USD.
What you'll do
- Diagnose complex in-app failures spanning rendering, SDK behavior, mediation, and attribution—isolating root cause across SDK, mediation, creative, and demand boundaries instead of patching symptoms
