Full job description

Lead development of software and web applications aligned with business and user needs. Integrate new systems focusing on scalability, security, and performance. Mentor and train team members. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain documentation. Monitor performance metrics and provide technical expertise. Ensure applications meet quality standards. Requires 7-10 years experience in software/platform engineering, proficiency in Go and Python, deep Kubernetes knowledge, experience with cloud platforms (AWS or OCI), Terraform, CI/CD, GitOps, and large-scale cloud-native platform design. Preferred experience includes managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms, Platform-as-a-Product initiatives, observability tools, multi-cluster Kubernetes, platform standardization, and mentoring. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.

What you'll do

  • Lead development and implementation of software and web applications aligned with business objectives and user requirements
  • Integrate new systems with existing infrastructure focusing on scalability, security, and performance improvement
  • Mentor team members and provide technical training to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application integration and advocate best practices
  • Participate in or lead peer programming, design sprints, or prototyping sessions
  • Create, maintain, and ensure accessibility of comprehensive documentation for development activities
  • Monitor application performance metrics and use data to guide enhancements
  • Provide expert technical advice and support to internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure applications meet testing standards and technical requirements
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in significant matters
  • Work nights and weekends as necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in Software Engineering or Platform Engineering
  • Strong software engineering background with experience in Go and Python
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and production operations
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale cloud-native platforms
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or OCI cloud services
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps, and deployment automation
  • Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams
  • Strong system design, troubleshooting, and architectural decision-making skills
  • Preferred experience managing enterprise Kubernetes platforms serving multiple engineering organizations
  • Preferred experience building Platform-as-a-Product initiatives
  • Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or similar observability solutions
  • Preferred experience with multi-cluster Kubernetes environments
  • Preferred experience leading platform standardization and migration initiatives
  • Preferred previous experience mentoring engineers or serving as technical lead
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience
