Full job description
FreeWheel, a Comcast company, seeks a senior Data SRE to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of data systems. Responsibilities include monitoring and alerting system design, issue resolution, automation tool development, performance optimization, incident response, capacity planning, documentation, security compliance, and cross-team collaboration. Requirements include 10+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Data Operations, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), modern data technologies (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, HDFS, AWS S3), database management (NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL), proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or Scala, experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, strong troubleshooting, and a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field. Salary ranges vary by location: Virginia $152,020.01 - $228,030.02; Illinois and New York $138,800.88 - $237,944.37.
