Full job description

Appodeal is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their Data Science team. The role involves driving the data science vision aligned with business goals in ad-tech and revenue optimization, leading and supporting data scientists, developing scalable models for ad targeting and bid strategy, and maintaining efficient data pipelines. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field, 5+ years in data science preferably in product environments, 2+ years in AdTech, 2+ years in leadership, strong analytical and communication skills, and being based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona, Spain. The technology stack includes Python, SQL, PySpark, Pandas, AWS, PyTorch, Hydra, and comet. What you'll do

  • Drive the team’s data science vision and ensure alignment with business goals, focusing on ad-tech and revenue optimization

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably in a product-focused environment
  • 2+ years experience in AdTech
  • 2+ years experience in a leading role
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Based in Barcelona, Spain or ready for relocation
