Full job description

Lead BI Developer with 6+ years experience in Power BI and SQL. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports; gathering and translating business requirements into reporting solutions; writing and optimizing SQL queries; performing data validation and quality checks; creating and maintaining data models and DAX calculations; collaborating with stakeholders for reporting needs; troubleshooting reporting issues; and documenting dashboard logic and data sources. Required skills: Power BI, SQL, data modelling, DAX, ETL, GITHUB, data validation, and strong analytical and communication skills. Bachelor's degree required. Nice to have: Python, Databricks, Power Query (M Language).

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Gather and understand business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reports
  • Create and maintain data models, relationships, measures, and DAX calculations in Power BI
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and provide analytical insights
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting and data-related issues
  • Document dashboard logic, data sources, and validation processes

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Experience in developing end-to-end dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Good understanding of data modelling concepts and DAX
  • Understanding ETL process & GITHUB
  • Experience in data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into meaningful visualizations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
  • Relevant Power BI certifications are an added advantage
  • Nice to have: Basic knowledge of Python
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with Databricks
  • Nice to have: Experience with Power Query (M Language)
