Full job description

Amazon Advertising is seeking a JP Strategy and Insights Lead to analyze and measure advertiser performance on Amazon.co.jp and other platforms. The role involves leveraging Amazon's proprietary data and third-party research to generate actionable insights, guiding C-suite marketing leaders with data-driven and culturally relevant brand strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver customer success. Responsibilities include presenting insights, educating stakeholders, driving strategic initiatives, and leading partnerships. Requirements include 8+ years of data analysis and strategic consulting experience and business-level Japanese proficiency. Preferred experience includes analyzing large datasets and translating them into business insights. The position is based in Tokyo, Japan.

What you'll do

  • Leverage Amazon’s proprietary data, tools, and third-party research to uncover actionable insights and develop expertise in proprietary metrics
  • Continuously improve how insights are analyzed and communicated to advertisers
  • Combine Amazon 1P insights with expertise in advertising industry trends, technology, customer business understanding, and cultural insights to guide C-suite marketing leaders
  • Present findings and insights in a consultative approach to clients and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer success
  • Actively share point of view on market and industry in meetings and industry events to educate clients, build trust, and establish thought leadership
  • Turn customer success ideas into strategic initiatives by inventing critical solutions, driving improvements, establishing scalable processes, or deprecating outdated ones
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively across multiple business functions
  • Educate internal and external stakeholders on Amazon insights and measurement offerings through learning sessions, training documentation, and whitepapers
  • Advocate for data-driven decision making and encourage clients to act on recommendations
  • Demonstrate passion for learning new skills and adopting new methodologies and tools
  • Lead new insights initiatives and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders such as agencies, market research vendors, and AdTech partners

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Data Analysis & Strategic Consulting Experience
  • Business-Level Japanese Language Proficiency
  • Experience analyzing large datasets and translating them to actionable business insight (preferred)
