Full job description
Join Samba's Embedded Platform team within the TV engineering org to develop C++ applications for Linux TV and Android TV environments. Responsibilities include capturing video frame buffers and audio PCM data from hardware pipelines, working closely with OEM and SOC engineering teams such as Sony, TCL, and Titan OS, and deploying/debugging on real devices over network, USB, or serial connections. Candidates must have strong hands-on C++ skills, embedded device development experience, comfort with Linux command line, and experience in video/audio frame processing. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently are required. The role is based in Taipei.
What you'll do
- Write C++ applications running inside Linux TV and Android TV environments to capture video frame buffers and audio PCM data
- Work directly with OEM and SOC engineering teams (e.g., Sony, TCL, Titan OS) to provide SDK and specs and validate their implementations
