Full job description

Appodeal is seeking a Head of User Acquisition to lead UA strategy, identify growth opportunities, and maximize ROAS for casual, ad-monetized mobile games. Responsibilities include developing UA strategies, scaling UA spend, building and managing UA and Creative teams, optimizing media buying processes, leading business development and partnerships, collaborating with engineers for automation, working with product and monetization teams to optimize ARPU, analyzing performance data, and monitoring industry trends. Requirements include 5+ years in user acquisition/media buying for mobile apps, experience with digital buying platforms (CPI networks, DSPs, Google Ads), strong problem-solving skills, strategic planning and execution ability, excellent communication, resource allocation experience, and advanced business English.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive user acquisition strategy aligned with the company’s quarterly and yearly goals
  • Identify and pursue growth opportunities to scale user acquisition spend while maximizing ROAS
  • Build and scale a high-performing UA team, establish and optimize media buying processes ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Lead business development efforts, including negotiating and managing partnerships and exclusive deals with networks
  • Collaborate with engineers to identify automation opportunities for campaign management and reporting
  • Work closely with the product and monetization team to optimize ARPU
  • Lead and grow the Creative team, setting high-level goals and ensuring their output supports UA objectives
  • Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to key stakeholders
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor strategies to stay ahead in the user acquisition landscape

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in user acquisition/media buying for mobile app products
  • Proven track record in building and scaling user acquisition strategies with a focus on growth and efficiency
  • In-depth knowledge of various digital buying platforms, including CPI networks, DSPs, Google Ads
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with experience working in fast-paced, metrics-driven environments
  • Ability to participate in strategic planning while excelling at day-to-day execution and optimization
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with stakeholders
  • Experience in resource allocation, ensuring optimal use of team bandwidth and marketing spend
  • Advanced Business English, particularly in writing and speaking
