Full job description

Viant is seeking a Head of Industry, Travel to lead growth in the Travel category by scaling brand-direct demand, expanding agency adoption, and enhancing travel targeting and measurement solutions. The role requires 15+ years of advertising experience, including 7+ years in Travel marketing. Responsibilities include growing category revenue, building and leading a GTM team, collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Business Development, and Marketing, and representing Viant at industry events. Candidates must have expertise in programmatic advertising across CTV, Streaming Audio, Online Video, Display, DOOH, and Mobile, with a proven track record in Travel advertising. Benefits include fully paid health insurance, paid parental leave, and unlimited PTO. Salary range is $225,000 to $250,000.

What you'll do

  • Scale Viant’s Travel business by expanding direct brand relationships in travel and hospitality
  • Establish Viant as the premier programmatic solution for Travel by evangelizing travel targeting, measurement, and identity solutions
  • Drive industry awareness through thought leadership, conference participation, and client education
  • Own and grow brand-direct demand and support sales team in agency adoption across Travel category
  • Develop and execute a brand-first GTM strategy embedded in key travel and hospitality marketing budgets
  • Partner with agency teams to navigate Travel programmatic landscape and ensure Viant is platform of choice
  • Hire, train, and scale a team of Travel-focused sellers
  • Define success metrics and manage performance for Travel programmatic growth
  • Serve as executive face of Viant’s Travel business at industry events and client meetings
  • Work closely with Product teams to develop new Travel ad products and enhance targeting, identity resolution, and measurement
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify key data, measurement, and supply partnerships
  • Ensure measurement solutions align with travel marketing objectives and help clients prove ROI

Requirements

  • 15+ years of advertising experience
  • Minimum of 7+ years in Travel marketing (brand-direct, agency, or vendor side experience)
  • Expertise in travel and hospitality marketing, preferably in a brand-direct capacity
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising (CTV, Streaming Audio, Online Video, Display, DOOH, and Mobile) and how it applies to Travel brands
  • Proven track record of building brand-direct relationships and scaling programmatic adoption in Travel
  • Experience hiring and leading high-performing GTM teams in adtech, programmatic, or digital media
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, business development, and marketing teams
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
