Microsoft Advertising seeks a Head of Analytical Leads to manage a team across EMEA, delivering insights that improve client performance on the Microsoft Advertising platform. Responsibilities include people management, data application, analysis, privacy and governance, continuous improvement, collaboration, presentation of results, and understanding clients' business. Required qualifications include experience in statistics, analytics, data science or related fields, proficiency with PowerBI, Tableau, DAX, R, SQL, people management, and effective communication of complex analyses. Preferred qualifications include experience in client-facing roles, EMEA market, and digital media. Salary range is £100,400 to £200,500 per year. Location: London, England, United Kingdom.
What you'll do
- People Management: model culture and values, coach team objectives and outcomes, attract and retain talent, invest in growth
- Application of Data: evaluate data sufficiency, resolve data quality issues, coordinate cross-team collaboration and data sharing
- Data Analysis: build best practices, guide complex analyses, ensure recommendations are accessible and aligned with client and business needs
- Data Privacy and Governance: uphold and apply data privacy and governance rules, identify and share best practices
- Continuous Improvement, Efficiency, and Innovation: develop methods for systematic efficiencies, automate reporting and analysis, share thought leadership
- Orchestration and Collaboration: establish strategic relationships to ensure high-quality data sources and tools, share expertise across teams
- Presentation of Results: guide development and delivery of client-facing presentations, synthesize insights into stories to influence decision-making
- Understanding Client's Business: advance understanding of clients' business, industry trends, competitive landscape, and build connections with client leadership
Requirements
- Experience in statistics, mathematics, analytics, data science, data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, business and financial analysis, or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience using tools such as PowerBI/Tableau, DAX, R, SQL for data manipulation and visualization on large datasets
- People management experience
- Effective communication of complex analyses to both technical and non-technical partners and clients
- Experience utilizing analytical tools to turn massive, dynamic datasets into actionable insights
- Experience pairing data visualization with storytelling to deliver persuasive presentations influencing varying audience levels
- Experience conducting, interpreting, and communicating measurement analyses (e.g., incrementality, attribution, lift studies) to inform client decisions
- Proficiency using PowerBI/Tableau, DAX, SQL for data manipulation and visualization
- Working knowledge of Python, R, PowerPivot, Microsoft Advertising API is a plus
- Solid knowledge of statistics, predictive modeling and data clustering/classification techniques
- Preferred: Experience in partner or account management/client service/client-facing role
- Preferred: Experience in EMEA market
- Preferred: Experience in digital media, data analysis, and data management
