Full job description

Moloco is hiring a Growth Manager in Tokyo, Japan to manage and grow a portfolio of small to mid-sized advertiser accounts. The role involves strategic account management, data-driven optimization, and client partnership to drive revenue growth. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, leading meetings, developing commercial strategies, optimizing campaign performance using tools like SFDC, Moloco Cloud Platform, and Looker, and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Implementation, Product, and Data Science teams. Candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in account management or growth in programmatic marketing, mobile advertising, or ad tech, strong commercial instincts, data storytelling skills, excellent communication, a growth mindset, and fluency in Japanese and business-level English.

What you'll do

  • Own day-to-day relationships across a high-volume portfolio of mid-market and SMB accounts
  • Lead client meetings, business reviews, and multi-stakeholder communications
  • Understand each client's business objectives, KPIs, and growth ambitions and surface aligned opportunities
  • Prioritize effectively across a large book of business
  • Develop and execute data-driven strategies to drive upsell, cross-sell, and incremental revenue
  • Identify and pitch expansion opportunities balancing short-term gains with long-term partnership durability
  • Use data storytelling to build business cases and influence client stakeholders
  • Handle objections with structured commercial thinking and creative problem-solving
  • Monitor client utilization of Moloco's DSP and identify underperforming setups and opportunities
  • Surface actionable recommendations for bidding strategies, budget allocation, creative approaches, and geo expansion
  • Use tools (SFDC, Moloco Cloud Platform, Looker) to analyze performance data and create client-ready narratives
  • Partner with Implementation, Data Science, and Operations to resolve technical issues affecting client performance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Implementation, Data Science, and Operations for account outcomes and onboarding
  • Relay market and client feedback to Product, Data Science, and Engineering
  • Contribute to team playbooks and pitch materials and share best practices regionally and globally

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in account management or growth, ideally in programmatic marketing, mobile advertising, or ad tech
  • Proven track record managing and growing advertiser accounts, including high-volume or mid-market books of business
  • Familiarity with big data, MMPs, the mobile app ecosystem, and ad tech platforms
  • Strong commercial instincts: identifies upsell opportunities and executes with data-backed pitches
  • Advanced data storytelling: turns performance data into clear narratives that influence client decisions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High ownership mentality; proactive and curious approach to problem-solving across multiple accounts
  • Growth mindset: treats setbacks as learning opportunities, seeks feedback, and shares learnings with the team
  • Collaborative and low-ego; strong cross-functional partner to Sales, Implementation, Product, and Data Science
  • Native/fluent Japanese
  • Business-level English
