Full job description

Lead software engineering for Audience & Measurement department focusing on management of software and platforms for ingestion of segment data (1st, 2nd, 3rd party), taxonomy data, and metadata. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure ingestion components enable accurate, responsive, feature-rich, privacy-compliant functionality. Own engineering strategy and roadmap for Snowflake-based data platforms and ingestion services. Establish and enforce SLAs/SLOs for ingestion latency, availability, currency, and recovery. Optimize Snowflake cost and performance. Oversee design and scalability of ingestion components. Drive platform modernization using cloud-native patterns, automation, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code. Ensure platform processes high-volume segment data with data hygiene. Build and develop engineering teams including hiring and coaching. Manage budgets and financial targets. Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 10+ years relevant work experience.

What you'll do

  • Own engineering strategy and roadmap for Snowflake-based data platforms, ingestion services, and downstream marketing data products
  • Establish and enforce SLAs/SLOs for ingestion latency, availability, currency, and recovery
  • Maintain scalable foundation for downstream business-critical audience and measurement applications
  • Optimize Snowflake cost, warehouse efficiency, workload isolation, and processing performance
  • Oversee design, scalability, and performance of ingestion components supporting Audience Management
  • Drive platform modernization adopting cloud-native patterns, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and standardized ingestion interfaces
  • Ensure platform can consume, normalize, sanitize, and process high-volume segment data
  • Develop approach to maintain high performance and availability of ingestion services
  • Build and develop high-performing engineering organization including hiring, coaching, org design, and resource allocation
  • Lead teams building capabilities for audience segmentation, 1P/3P data onboarding, segment replacement, add/remove workflows, and activation-readiness
  • Prepare and manage budgets and financial targets

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of coursework and experience
  • 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience with software engineering leadership and executive oversight
  • Experience managing software and platforms for data ingestion (1st, 2nd, 3rd party segment data, taxonomy data, metadata)
  • Ability to partner with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Revenue Science, Product-Marketing, Partnership, and Privacy
  • Experience establishing and enforcing SLAs/SLOs for ingestion latency, availability, currency, and recovery
  • Experience optimizing Snowflake cost, warehouse efficiency, workload isolation, and processing performance
  • Experience driving platform modernization with automation, CI/CD, infrastructure as code
  • Experience building and developing high-performing engineering teams including hiring, coaching, and resource allocation
  • Budget and financial target management
