Full job description

Director of Sales, Buyer Development (Programmatic) responsible for generating, managing, and growing omnichannel opportunities with holding companies, agencies, and brands on Media.net Exchange. Role includes exceeding revenue targets, evangelizing the platform, active selling, account management, and managing client terms and expectations. Requires minimum 4 years experience in programmatic ad sales or related roles with proven success selling programmatic solutions to agencies and brands. Must have strong relationships in the programmatic space, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and strong presentation and negotiation skills. Location: New York and Chicago. Salary range: $130,000 - $160,000 plus bonus and benefits.

What you'll do

  • Generate, manage, and grow omnichannel opportunities with holding companies, agencies, and brands on Media.net Exchange
  • Exceed revenue targets through evangelizing the platform, active selling, account management, and managing terms and expectations for clients
  • Create and strengthen relationships with advertising agency customers in the East coast market focusing on holding companies and their agencies
  • Grow ad exchange spending to meet and exceed goals while prospecting for new business among agencies and brands
  • Provide excellent client service including proactive media packaging of publisher opportunities
  • Identify additional revenue opportunities within existing clients
  • Develop strong understanding of Media.net technology and media solutions and communicate value proposition
  • Build and maintain close working relationships with multiple internal departments
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and grow industry knowledge

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Programmatic Ad Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Relationship Management, or Sales roles in the online industry
  • Proven experience and success selling Programmatic offerings into major Agency Programmatic Buying divisions and Brands running Programmatic in-house
  • Experience bringing both brand and advertiser relevant contacts
  • Knowledge of Brand/Advertiser focused programmatic space
  • Knowledge of programmatic buying and selling including pricing models, optimization tactics, audience trends, and buying technologies
  • Proficiency in Excel with ability to convey data and analysis to drive business
  • Pre-existing relationships with agencies and automated buying platforms
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
