Full job description

Skai is hiring a Director of Sales for the US Independent Agency Team. The role involves generating new agency accounts, managing the GTM sales process, and developing strategic agency partnerships. Responsibilities include owning revenue, retention, and expansion across independent agency accounts, building pipelines, leading sales cycles, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving regional GTM strategy. Candidates must have 5+ years in AdTech, commerce media, or AI/data SaaS sales with a proven record of exceeding quotas and experience selling to independent agencies. The position is full-time, hybrid (3 days in office), based in New York City, with a salary range of $130,000 - $135,000 base plus commission and equity.

What you'll do

  • Generate new agency accounts
  • Own GTM sales process
  • Develop strategic agency partnerships
  • Develop relationships internal and external
  • Own net new revenue, retention, and expansion across independent agency accounts
  • Build and maintain high-quality pipeline through disciplined discovery and account planning
  • Lead full sales cycle from discovery through negotiation, pricing, and contract close
  • Bring differentiated commercial point of view into accounts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Industry leads, Client Success, Product, Legal, and EVP
  • Manage pipeline development, account planning, revenue forecasting and resource utilization
  • Drive regional TAM and GTM strategy with EVP, SDR and Marketing
  • Develop budgets for client visits and industry events
  • Understand AdTech, MarTech and Independent Agency landscapes
  • Understand how independent agencies do business and make profit

Requirements

  • 5+ years in AdTech, commerce media, or AI/data SaaS sales
  • Documented track record of exceeding quota in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Experience selling into independent agencies preferred
  • Ability to run a full discovery-led sales process
  • Proven track record with independent agencies and Founder/C level clients
  • Experience running consultative and complex sales cycles for small to large agency organizations
  • Genuine point of view on AI delivering for media buyers
  • Strategic and creative commercial thinking
