Full job description

The Trade Desk is seeking a Marketing Director to lead brand marketing efforts supporting the ANZ Business team. Responsibilities include developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Australia and New Zealand, partnering with sales leadership, collaborating with marketing teams to deliver 360-degree programs, developing content strategies, establishing KPIs and analyzing marketing impact on lead funnel metrics, managing industry sponsorships and events, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Candidates must have 15+ years of relevant marketing experience with prior people management, strong understanding of digital marketing, demand generation, analytics, event production, PR/communications, and preferably knowledge of programmatic advertising and adtech. Proficiency in Salesforce, Marketo, Asana, or Bizible is required. The role is based in Sydney with occasional travel.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for Australia and New Zealand
  • Partner with sales leadership as a trusted subject matter expert to create and execute marketing strategy and brand initiatives
  • Collaborate with broader marketing teams (PR, Events, Digital, Product Marketing, Creative) to support 360-degree programs
  • Develop content strategy and narratives for thought leadership reports, playbooks and events
  • Establish marketing KPIs and analyze impact on lead funnel metrics including inquiries, MQLs, and SQLs
  • Present informed points of view to cross-functional teams and senior business leaders
  • Balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term executional excellence
  • Manage industry sponsorships, client education days, roadshows, workshops from content development to success reporting
  • Foster a team culture of continuous learning and improvement

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • Prior people management experience
  • Understanding of Digital Marketing, demand generation, analytics, event production and PR/Communications
  • Understanding of the programmatic advertising industry and adtech ecosystem is a strong bonus
  • Proven experience working with and presenting to sales teams
  • Experience concepting, developing and executing campaigns utilizing Thought Leadership, Campaigns, Events, editorial and social content
  • Compelling storyteller obsessed with performance and simplifying complexity
  • High emotional intelligence with ability to build relationships across large teams
  • Detail-oriented, take-ownership attitude, self-organizing and highly skilled in time management
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to break down complex problems into actionable work plans
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Marketo, Asana, Bizible or similar tools
  • Based in Sydney with ability and willingness to travel occasionally
