Full job description

The Digital Director is responsible for prospecting and closing sales for GumGum’s advertising platform in the Netherlands. Reporting to the Senior Digital Director, this role leads and develops key relationships and strategy across media agencies and advertisers. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, strong selling skills, experience with Managed Service and Programmatic solutions, and fluency in Dutch and English. Responsibilities include managing a media agency patch, increasing client output, identifying new prospects, generating sales activities, upselling products, providing market insights, cultivating client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to implement proposals.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for a significant media agency patch
  • Increase output from existing clients through developing relationships
  • Identify new prospects and drive new revenue
  • Generate a high volume of sales-related activity including presentations, RFPs, and innovative sales solutions
  • Upsell current clients in current and new products
  • Provide deep market insights into contextual and rich media
  • Gain test opportunities with additional products including rich media, contextual data, or video
  • Cultivate relationships with brands, agency contacts, and clients
  • Work with designated Account Manager and internal teams to ensure sold proposals are implemented and aligned with client expectations

Requirements

  • 5 years of solid selling experience in digital advertising sales
  • Strong selling experience and a track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in both Managed Service and Programmatic solutions
  • Strong reputation across the industry and an extensive list of contacts
  • Strong fluency in Dutch speaking and writing
  • Strong fluency in English speaking and writing
