Design System Champion

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary hands-on expert for the Arc design and token system, working within Figma and Token Studio to maintain components, drive adoption, and ensure the system meets diverse client needs
• Act as a trusted advisor and evangelist for internal and external design communities, supporting Merkle’s designers and advocating for the design system
• Represent Arc at innovation sessions/events and ensure teams understand how to leverage the platform's front-end boundaries
• Drive the Merkle Arc roadmap by providing critical feedback to the product team, translating market trends, client insights, and technical findings into actionable backlog items
• Deliver world-class, persuasive demos tailored to clients’ specific brands and use cases, modifying the Arc environment to help prospects visualize their future state
• Lead technical engagements across EMEA, including discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and solution deep dives
• Analyze RFPs to extract key requirements and translate them into architecture proposals and feature plans
• Lead the technical response sections of RFPs and develop technical pitch materials, including architecture diagrams and value narratives

Requirements

• 3–5+ years (ideally 5+) of experience in UX/UI Design, Design Ops, UX Strategy, or Pre-Sales Consulting
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma and tokenization
• Proven experience working with design systems, including maintaining components, managing design tokens, and driving adoption
• Ability to deliver compelling demos with strong storytelling and showmanship
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently engage senior stakeholders (CIOs, CTOs, CMOs)
• Deep understanding of component libraries and accessibility standards
• Nice-to-Have: Background in digital agencies or enterprise platform implementations
• Nice-to-Have: Proven ability to prototype solutions quickly within custom demo environments
