Full job description

Microsoft Advertising seeks a Customer Experience Program Manager responsible for driving business planning to grow market share and establish Microsoft Advertising as an AI industry leader. The role involves developing strategic plans across demand, supply, products, and platforms; leading workstreams on opportunity identification, demand strategy, and business requirements; collaborating with cross-functional teams; leveraging stakeholder insights for growth recommendations; communicating plans to business leaders; and partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business teams. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years experience or equivalent, with preferred qualifications including advanced degrees and 6-8+ years experience, cross-functional project management, digital advertising knowledge, strong strategic, communication, and analytical skills. The position is full-time, on-site in Mountain View, CA; New York, NY; Redmond, WA; or San Francisco, CA. Salary ranges from $119,800 to $234,700 annually, with higher ranges in SF Bay Area and NYC.

What you'll do

  • Develop strategic plans to drive and transform the business across demand, supply, products and platforms and influence prioritization of initiatives
  • Lead workstreams across opportunity identification and sizing, demand strategy, demand profiling, and business requirements documentation
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure business and demand plans are comprehensive and rationalized across all planning dimensions
  • Leverage insights from voice of field and stakeholder input to develop recommendations and provide thought leadership on growth opportunities
  • Communicate and advocate plans to business leaders through written documents and influence models
  • Deliver recommendations and implications to stakeholders to facilitate discussions and decision making
  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Business teams to ensure alignment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • 2+ years of experience with the digital advertising environment and understanding of digital media planning and buying process
  • Ability to synthesize complex business, customer and product inputs into clear strategic recommendations, prioritization frameworks and actionable plans
  • Exceptional written and communication skills to create executive-ready narratives, business cases, strategy memos, and cross-functional communications
  • Solid analytical and modeling skills including experience using data to evaluate business opportunities, forecast impact, build scenario analyses, and support strategic decision-making
