Full job description

Samba is seeking a senior entrepreneurial consultant to lead its market entry in Brazil. This contract role based in São Paulo involves building Samba's presence from scratch by combining commercial acumen, business development, and technical fluency. Responsibilities include owning the commercial strategy, building pipeline, closing deals, developing partnerships, mapping the local media ecosystem, providing technical pre-sales support, and creating a market entry strategy compliant with local regulations including LGPD. The candidate must have 10+ years of commercial experience in ad tech, media, data, or DaaS/SaaS, be trilingual in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and have strong relationships in the Brazilian media ecosystem. Travel within Brazil and occasionally internationally is expected.

What you'll do

  • Own the commercial strategy for Brazil: identify target accounts, build pipeline, and close initial deals
  • Take a consultative approach to sales, educating the market on Samba's data and solutions
  • Develop and execute account plans, manage full sales cycle, and maintain forecasting
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships with local broadcasters, OEMs, data providers, platforms, and technology partners
  • Map the Brazilian media, advertising, and data ecosystem to identify key players and opportunities
  • Serve as technical point of contact for prospects and partners, scope integrations, troubleshoot implementation
  • Provide technical pre-sales support including demos, RFIs/RFPs, and proof-of-concept solutions
  • Develop comprehensive Brazil market entry strategy covering regulatory landscape, competitive positioning, LGPD compliance, partnerships, and revenue projections
  • Build operational foundation for Samba's Brazil presence including processes, reporting, and success metrics
  • Provide regular market updates and strategic recommendations to international and executive leadership

Requirements

  • 10+ years of commercial experience in ad tech, media, data, or DaaS/SaaS
  • Proven track record of launching products, entering new markets, and closing deals in Brazil or Latin America
  • Commercially sharp and strategically minded with experience building pipelines and closing deals
  • Technical fluency with APIs, data integrations, programmatic ecosystems, and measurement methodologies
  • Established relationships with agencies, broadcasters, platforms, and advertisers in Brazil
  • Knowledge of Brazilian media and data landscape including TV ecosystem, audience data, cross-screen measurement, and LGPD data privacy regulations
  • Trilingual: professional fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish
  • Self-directed and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Comfortable presenting to C-suite and handling enterprise-level negotiations
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
