Full job description

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is the senior technical owner of Merkle Denmark’s cloud platform architecture. Responsibilities include designing, building, and evolving cloud foundations, guardrails, and platform capabilities to ensure reliable, secure, and well-governed client environments. The role involves architecting cloud infrastructure, defining secure-by-design patterns, designing resilience and disaster recovery strategies, owning infrastructure-as-code practices, and providing specialist guidance during complex incidents and major changes. The engineer supports operational governance, incident and change management, SLA governance, and client escalations. Required experience includes strong proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, Terraform or Bicep, ITIL/ITSM practices, handling critical escalations, and working in multi-client environments with contractual obligations such as SLAs and NIS2 compliance. Strong English communication skills are required; Danish is a plus.
