Full job description

Business Intelligence Associate role to automate manual forecasting and identify root causes of anomalies. Responsibilities include monitoring business health via anomaly detection tools, tracking revenue and spend trends hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly, coordinating with teams to resolve issues, owning revenue forecasting, leading reviews with stakeholders, managing investigations, and communicating insights for strategic planning. Requires 3-5 years experience in data analysis, proficiency in Excel, Looker, MySQL, forecasting, impact measurement, AB Testing, knowledge of Excel macro/VBA, Python, and familiarity with anomaly detection techniques and big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, AWS, Google Cloud). Bachelor's or master's degree in relevant field required. Shift timings 4 PM to 1 AM.

What you'll do

  • Monitor business health using anomaly detection software and dashboards
  • Keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned on key input metrics
  • Continuously monitor hourly and daily revenue trends
  • Assess revenue declines to find root causes and verify association with product releases
  • Allocate causes to corresponding teams and assess next actions
  • Trigger P1/P2 alerts with Network Operations Center based on severity
  • Own weekly revenue forecasting process and provide executive updates
  • Define variance thresholds for deeper analysis
  • Investigate metrics showing decay or deviation and find root causes
  • Lead monthly review process with Marketplace, Product, and Engineering stakeholders
  • Participate in quarterly and annual planning processes
  • Manage investigations and cross-functional workstreams
  • Communicate insights on trends to inform strategic planning and GTM execution
  • Provide updates on Steering Committees and improve revenue monitoring processes
  • Develop new monitoring frameworks and incorporate new data sources
  • Collaborate with Product Management and vendors to improve anomaly detection solutions
  • Track and quantify impact of product releases with monetization product team

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis or similar role
  • Technical skills in Excel, Looker, MySQL, forecasting, impact measurement, AB Testing
  • Knowledge of Excel macro/VBA and Python
  • Ad Tech experience is good to have
  • Experience with GenAI-based tools like Cursor and Claude is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of data manipulation and analysis
  • Familiarity with anomaly detection techniques including supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series analysis, outlier detection algorithms
  • Understanding of big data technologies and tools like Hadoop, Spark, or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
  • Shift timings: 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
