Join AppLovin's new social platform venture as a backend engineer intern. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs for content delivery, user interactions, and social features. Collaborate with product managers and AI engineers to translate requirements into technical designs. Participate in system design and architectural decisions. Build MVPs quickly for creator-facing and internal platforms. Troubleshoot system issues and improve reliability and performance. Requirements: currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; proficiency in at least one backend language (Go, Java, Python); strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, and databases; strong problem-solving skills; ownership mindset and good communication. Good to have experience with Go, relational/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), caching or message queues (Redis, Kafka), real-time systems, media processing, content recommendation, and Linux environment. Location: Singapore.
