Full job description

Seeking a senior engineer with expertise in enterprise AWS within regulated environments focusing on security, compliance, and access control. Responsibilities include application modernization (statelessness, autoscaling, container readiness, async/queues, DB pooling), Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform with reusable modules, and migration execution design covering environment readiness, test strategies, dry runs, and cutover/rollback. The role requires operational excellence with SRE practices such as monitoring, logging, alerting, incident/problem/change management, vulnerability management, and runbook creation. Experience with B2C/e-commerce high-traffic platforms and strong AWS foundational knowledge (VPC, IAM, compute, storage, managed databases, migration patterns) is essential. Additional duties include managing landing zone governance, compliance controls, and collaborating with platform teams. Testing and go-live strategies including SIT, UAT, performance, and failover are also required.

What you'll do

  • Modernize and refactor applications for performance optimization and cloud readiness
  • Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform with reusable modules
  • Design and execute migration strategies across multiple environments
  • Enable operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, and ITSM processes
  • Manage security, compliance, and access control guardrails in AWS environments
  • Collaborate with platform teams to maintain governed landing zones
  • Develop and maintain runbooks and support hypercare phases
  • Plan and execute testing strategies including SIT, UAT, performance, and failover

Requirements

  • Experience with enterprise AWS in regulated environments including security, compliance, and access control guardrails
  • Application modernization and refactoring skills focusing on statelessness, autoscaling, container readiness, async/queues, and DB pooling
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code, specifically Terraform and reusable module-based delivery
  • Ability to design migration execution including environment readiness (Dev/QA/PreProd/Prod), test strategy, dry runs, cutover and rollback
  • Operational excellence and SRE-style run enablement including monitoring, logging, alerting, incident/problem/change management, vulnerability management, and runbooks
  • Familiarity with B2C/e-commerce high-traffic platforms
  • Strong AWS foundational knowledge including VPC/networking, IAM/security, compute, storage, managed databases, and migration patterns
  • Experience with landing zone/governed platform guardrails, compliance controls, access patterns, and collaboration with platform teams
  • Testing and go-live experience including SIT/UAT/performance/failover strategy and dry-run
