AWS Cloud Architect, AWS Professional Services, RCG and Pan-Amazon Strategy and Growth

What you'll do

• Create and lead solution designs addressing customer business outcomes across migrations, modernization, AI/ML, and cloud-native architectures
• Operate as the conduit between ProServe Account Executives and Shared Delivery Teams, ensuring proposed solutions are realistic and optimized
• Provide technical expertise throughout the pre-sales process and customer cloud journey
• Architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to each customer's needs
• Bring particular depth in AI, Agentic AI, and Retail/Consumer Goods (RCG)/Commerce verticals
• Engage Japanese-speaking customers and stakeholders, delivering technical guidance and presentations in Japanese
• Collaborate across Amazon organizations when pursuits span multiple business units including Commerce, Supply Chain, AdTech, and Customer Experience
• Drive SOW signings and successful implementations that exceed customer satisfaction (CSAT) expectations
• Share knowledge through mentoring, training, and creation of reusable artifacts
• Serve as a trusted advisor on emerging technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent commerce solutions
• Support diverse teams in making production-proven solutions discoverable and deployable across ProServe teams globally

Requirements

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
• Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments
• Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
• Fluent in Japanese (written and spoken) at business level or above (N1+)
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or related field (preferred)
• AWS Associate level certification (preferred)
• Experience translating technical analysis and metrics into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders (preferred)
• Experience working cross-functionally and across regions (preferred)
• Knowledge of Amazon business units and operational models (Commerce, Supply Chain, Advertising, Customer Experience) (preferred)
