Full job description

Seeking a Technical Lead with 5-9 years experience in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO). Responsible for architecture, implementation, and optimization of customer experience solutions including data ingestion, Real-Time Customer Profile, identity resolution, audience segmentation, and omnichannel journey orchestration. Requires hands-on expertise in AJO journey design, campaign orchestration, AEP Real-Time CDP, XDM schema design, identity graph, Segment Builder, PQL, AEP Data Collection, Web and Mobile SDKs, AEP Destinations, AEP and AJO APIs, Python or JavaScript, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and big data/streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark). Good to have experience with AJO Decisioning, Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Analytics integration, AEP Data Distillery, composable CDP concepts, reverse ETL tools, data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), CI/CD and DevOps practices. Responsibilities include leading AEP solution architecture, omnichannel journey design, data governance, audience strategy, collaboration with cross-functional teams, mentoring, environment management, compliance, troubleshooting, and platform improvement. Bachelor’s degree required; relevant Adobe certifications preferred.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end architecture and implementation of AEP solutions including data ingestion, XDM modelling, identity graph, and Real-Time CDP
  • Design, build, and govern omnichannel customer journeys and triggered campaigns in AJO – including email, SMS, push, in-app, and web channels
  • Configure and manage AJO Decisioning to deliver personalised offers and content across touchpoints
  • Define and enforce AEP data governance standards – schemas, datasets, data usage policies (DULE), and consent frameworks
  • Oversee AEP data ingestion pipelines (batch via SFTP/S3 and streaming via HTTP API / Kafka) ensuring data quality and SLA adherence
  • Lead audience strategy – design segmentation logic, manage audience lifecycles, and configure activations to downstream destinations
  • Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and product teams to translate business use cases into AEP/AJO technical solutions
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and enforce platform best practices across the team
  • Manage AEP Sandboxes, package and promote configurations across environments (Dev, Stage, Production)
  • Evaluate and implement AEP / AJO upgrades, new features, and integrations with the broader Adobe Experience Cloud
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations within the AEP data architecture
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across data flows, journey failures, API integrations, and activation channels
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and continuous improvement of the AEP/AJO platform infrastructure

Requirements

  • Hands-on expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) – journey design, campaign orchestration, decisioning, and message execution
  • Deep experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) – Real-Time CDP, data ingestion (batch & streaming), XDM schema design, and Real-Time Customer Profile
  • Proficiency in AEP identity resolution (Identity Graph), audience segmentation using Segment Builder and Profile Query Language (PQL)
  • Strong experience with AEP Data Collection (Launch/Tags), Web SDK, and Mobile SDK for event capture
  • Expertise in AEP Destinations – configuring activation to paid media, CRM, email, and custom endpoints
  • Advanced API skills – AEP APIs (Catalog, Ingestion, Segmentation, Flow Service) and AJO APIs for programmatic journey management
  • Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for data transformation, automation, and scripting
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data / streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark)
  • Good to have: Experience with AJO Decisioning / Offer Decisioning for personalised offer delivery
  • Familiarity with Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) for cross-channel reporting and attribution
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics integration with AEP and AJO
  • Experience with AEP Data Distillery (Query Service / PSQL)
  • Exposure to composable CDP concepts and reverse ETL tools (e.g., Hightouch, Census)
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and consent management within AEP
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for AEP configuration management
  • Client-facing experience with stakeholder management and solution presentations
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering with specialization in Computer Science, Data, or IT or graduate from other fields with good communication and analytical skills
  • Preferred certifications: AD0-E607 Adobe Journey Optimizer Business Practitioner Expert, AD0-E602 Adobe Real-Time CDP Business Practitioner Professional or Expert, AD0-E600 Adobe Experience Platform Technical Foundations, AEP Architect Expert certification (AD0-E605)
