Full job description

The Trade Desk seeks a senior FP&A Manager to lead revenue and take rate finance for a core business area. Responsibilities include owning revenue and take rate modeling, understanding product economics, leading revenue planning cycles, partnering with product and commercial teams, building financial models for new products and pricing, producing executive deliverables, leading special projects, and mentoring junior team members. Requirements include 6+ years in FP&A or related fields, strong financial modeling and forecasting skills, proficiency in Excel and SQL, experience with BI tools, excellent communication skills, and a bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. MBA or CFA is a plus. Base salary range is $93,800 to $172,000 USD.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end revenue and take rate modeling including pricing structure, volume dynamics, product mix, and client segmentation
  • Become the internal expert on product economics including platform features, auction mechanics, pricing decisions, and client behavior
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue planning cycles including forecast submissions and variance commentary
  • Serve as primary finance partner to product, commercial, and data teams on revenue matters including new product launches and pricing changes
  • Design and build financial models for new products and strategic pricing initiatives and quantify expected revenue impact
  • Produce executive-quality deliverables including revenue narratives for board presentations, QBRs, investor materials, and CFO briefings
  • Lead and execute special projects such as strategic deep-dives, competitive analysis, cross-functional initiatives, and operational improvements
  • Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members providing guidance on modeling best practices, stakeholder communication, and analytical frameworks

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or management consulting
  • Proven track record of owning complex revenue models and delivering accurate, insightful forecasts in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong ability and genuine interest in understanding how products and platforms work commercially
  • Experience driving executive-facing deliverables and presenting to C-suite and board-level audiences
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets modeling skills
  • Proficiency in SQL strongly preferred
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Mode
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • High accountability and ownership mindset
  • Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous situations
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field
  • MBA or CFA is a plus
