The Application Reliability Engineer will manage technical escalations and platform reliability within the Engineering and Solutions organization. Responsibilities include providing technical support, managing support tickets, executing operational tasks, assisting in incident investigation and root cause analysis, performing data validation and troubleshooting, collaborating with Engineering for issue resolution, contributing to documentation, supporting R&D initiatives, maintaining scripts/tools, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. Requirements include 2-3 years experience in customer application escalations or technical support, preferably with AdTech platforms, proficiency in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), programming languages (Python, Java, or PHP), data analysis tools (Excel, Looker, Omni), AI tool usage, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a relevant degree. Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India.
What you'll do
- Provide platform-wide technical support and deliver solutions for internal stakeholders
- Manage and resolve assigned tickets from the support queue (~80%) within defined SLAs
- Execute operational tasks such as client setup changes and configuration updates
- Assist in incident investigation and root cause analysis with guidance
- Perform data validation, basic analysis, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with Engineering for issue resolution and fix validation
- Contribute to documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base updates
- Support R&D initiatives (~20%) through execution of scripts, analysis, and testing
- Use and maintain existing scripts/tools to improve efficiency
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for ticket follow-ups and updates
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or similar analytical/technical disciplines preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or related field with technical exposure
- 2–3 years experience in customer application escalations, technical solutions, or customer-facing support roles
- Experience with AdTech platforms or technical product support environments highly preferred
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern production tech stacks
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with datastores and querying frameworks (e.g., MySQL)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or PHP
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Excel, Looker, or Omni
- AI awareness and practical application skills to leverage AI tools for efficiency and automation
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Solutions-oriented mindset with excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think critically and execute effective problem-solving workflows
