Full job description

Samba is hiring an Associate Account Executive (AAE) to join the revenue organization. This entry-level full-time sales role is based in New York City. The AAE will identify brand and agency targets, drive outbound engagement, and book strategic meetings. The role includes direct sales immersion for six months with shadowing and CRM management, leveraging technology tools like Gong, Salesforce, and proprietary AI insights. Responsibilities include prospecting, outbound communication, supporting sales leaders, consulting agencies on TV and video strategies, collaborating with programmatic teams, and representing Samba at events. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree, 0-2 years relevant experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and familiarity with advertising ecosystems and AI tools. Bonus points for CRM experience, public speaking, and knowledge of programmatic advertising.

What you'll do

  • Identify and scale revenue-generating relationships with advertisers and agencies within assigned territory or vertical
  • Communicate Samba's value proposition via email, phone, and social sequences to secure high-level meetings
  • Support Samba Sales Leader in maintaining and growing existing book of business while hunting for new opportunities
  • Act as a consultant for agencies evolving their TV and video strategies through data
  • Collaborate with Programmatic teams to build proposals exceeding client marketing objectives
  • Help develop local marketing initiatives and represent Samba at industry events
  • Shadow sales meetings, participate in post-call debriefs, and manage CRM hygiene during first six months
  • Leverage technology stack including Gong, Salesforce, and AI tools to master go-to-market strategy
  • Receive direct coaching from Senior AEs and structured training from Sales Enablement team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 0-2 years of experience in advertising agency, sales and trading, technology, or equivalent professional or academic background
  • Demonstrated track record of performing against goals and winning in competitive environments
  • Ability to deconstruct complex business challenges using structured, logic-based reasoning
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and applying first-principles thinking
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication, networking, and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of TV, online, and mobile advertising ecosystem including data, targeting, and measurement is a strong plus
  • Existing relationships with media buying decision-makers preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI to streamline workflows
  • Familiarity with AI and ML in audience measurement, targeting, and attribution is a strong plus
  • Desire to learn AI-powered tools for sales productivity
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and data analysis tools is a bonus
  • Background in public speaking, debate, or competitive presentations is a bonus
  • Existing knowledge of TV, digital, social and programmatic advertising landscape is a bonus
