Full job description

AppLovin is hiring a mid-level Research Scientist focused on machine learning and adtech. The role involves building ads delivery systems, processing large-scale data, integrating multiple data types, and running A/B tests. Candidates should have experience with state-of-the-art ML/DL models, strong Python and PyTorch skills, strong math skills, and a drive to impact the company. Bonus skills include experience with large datasets, distributed computing, C++ or Java, and recommendation models. The position is full-time, on-site in Palo Alto, California. What you'll do

  • Build ads delivery systems that deliver the most relevant products to users and drive business results
  • Process and handle tens of billions of rows of data per day and process one million requests per second
  • Integrate tabular, text, image, and video data into a cohesive system to improve ads delivery
  • Run large-scale A/B tests to measure results

Requirements

  • Experience working with state of the art Machine Learning/Deep Learning models to solve hard problems
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with Deep Learning frameworks (preferably PyTorch)
  • Strong mathematical skills, and the ability to understand and interpret data
  • Drive to want to make an impact on the company
  • Bonus: Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks
  • Bonus: Strong C++ or Java programming ability in addition to Python
  • Bonus: Prior experience working with recommendation models specifically
