The Application Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving platform and partner reliability by managing Level 2 tickets, conducting discrepancy investigations, validating integrations, and supporting service requests. The role requires collaboration with Account Management, Engineering, and Product teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in TripleLift's AdTech stack. Key tasks include updating runbooks, supporting non-technical stakeholders with data-backed explanations, applying knowledge of programmatic workflows (OpenRTB, header bidding, S2S integrations), and using SQL and log analytics tools for debugging. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 5 years in technical support or operations within AdTech, strong SQL and log analytics skills, and the ability to communicate technical issues clearly. Contribute small fixes, configuration changes, and tooling pull requests, and collaborate with Engineering on bug triage and validation
Identify root causes for common issues (mismatched macros, tag misfires, reporting lags, basic integration breaks) using structured debugging methods
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in a solutions, technical support, or operations role, ideally within AdTech or a related industry
Strong SQL skills (joins, window functions)
Experience with log analytics/APM tooling (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Datadog)
Working knowledge of programmatic advertising concepts (OpenRTB, header bidding, DSP/SSP, S2S integrations) and core AdTech metrics (fill rate, bid rate, win rate, render rate, discrepancies)
Experience validating REST APIs and troubleshooting tag/pixel implementations
Ability to read code and write small scripts or queries to support analysis and debugging
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Comfort participating in an on-call rotation and managing time-sensitive, partner-facing issues
