API Developer - Salesforce Commerce Cloud

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain API-driven solutions for Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)
• Develop and enhance integrations using SCAPI, OCAPI, REST APIs, and web services
• Collaborate with Full Stack Developers to define and implement BFF (Backend for Frontend) services supporting headless storefront experiences
• Build reusable APIs and integration services to support commerce, customer, product, pricing, inventory, and checkout capabilities
• Develop and maintain Service Framework integrations with enterprise and third-party systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve API, integration, and application issues across development and production environments
• Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to API architecture and integration best practices
• Support release activities, deployment validation, and post-release monitoring
• Ensure API solutions meet security, scalability, performance, and maintainability standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, and integration design artifacts

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in API development and integration engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development experience
• Strong experience with SCAPI and OCAPI development
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and web services
• Strong understanding of API security, OAuth, authentication, and authorization concepts
• Experience with JavaScript and backend integration development
• Experience working with SFCC Service Framework
• Experience designing reusable API services and integration patterns
• Understanding of headless commerce and composable architecture principles
• Experience integrating SFCC with enterprise and third-party systems
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer Certification (mandatory)
• Preferred: Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture, Headless Commerce implementations, OMS integrations (Sterling OMS preferred), Payment integrations, Search and merchandising platforms, Analytics and tagging platforms, Jobs Framework, Postman or similar API testing tools, Git Version Control, Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect Certification
• Good to have: Composable Commerce experience, Fraud prevention platforms (Forter or similar), Tax integrations (Vertex or similar), Shipping and fulfilment integrations, Retail and omnichannel commerce experience
