Full job description

Verve is hiring mid-level (Engineer II) and senior Android engineers to develop and optimize the Android HyBid SDK ecosystem. Responsibilities include SDK core development, architecture, product collaboration, cross-platform parity with iOS, team collaboration, privacy compliance implementation, embedded telemetry, mediation adapter development, and automation framework maintenance. Candidates must have strong Kotlin and Java skills, understanding of SDK development constraints, familiarity with iOS codebases, and experience with GCP and AI development tools. Level II requires 3+ years of Android library/SDK development experience; Level III requires 6+ years with leadership in building and deploying SDKs. What you'll do

  • Develop, refine, and optimize Android HyBid SDK submodules
  • Architect and lead SDK evolution focusing on multi-threading, memory, binary size, backward compatibility, and crash-free integration
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to estimate effort, refine requirements, and prioritize delivery
  • Work with iOS team to ensure cross-platform behavioral consistency
  • Contribute to technical refinement, code reviews, documentation, and bug resolution
  • Set core standards and mentor mid-level engineers (senior level)
  • Implement and test integration layers for Android Privacy Sandbox and user-consent data pipelines
  • Build and refine embedded crash-logging and exception-dump mechanisms
  • Develop and optimize mediation adapters including AppLovin MAX integration and programmatic viewability tracking
  • Maintain CI pipelines, migrate testing to cloud environments, and consolidate build/release workflows

Requirements

  • Strong competency in Kotlin and Java
  • Understanding of multi-threaded code execution, network-layer containment, and Android debugging
  • Understanding of SDK/library development vs standard app development
  • Comfort navigating iOS (Swift/Objective-C) code for logic comparison
  • Familiarity with GCP / Google Cloud environments
  • Experience using AI development tools like Copilot and LLMs
  • Level II: 3+ years professional Android development focused on library/SDK development
  • Level II: Ability to implement well-defined technical specifications with team coordination
  • Level III: 6+ years Android software engineering with experience building standalone binary frameworks (.AAR libraries, SDKs)
  • Level III: Proven leadership of complex projects from design to production
  • Level III: Expert proficiency in Kotlin and Java with mastery of ClassLoaders, thread synchronization, process lifecycles, and memory profiling
