Full job description

AppLovin is hiring Android Mobile Engineers to build a next-generation social media platform focused on content creation, video editing, interactive features, and real-time communication. The role involves designing scalable architecture, collaborating with product and design teams, optimizing app performance, and shipping high-quality code in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have a BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, 3+ years of native Android development experience, proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, and strong knowledge of Android SDK and architecture patterns. Preferred experience includes consumer-facing mobile products, video/media processing, UGC platforms, real-time messaging systems, and working in high-growth tech companies. The position is full-time, based in Singapore.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement scalable architecture and core mobile features for complex applications
  • Collaborate closely with product and design teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality user experiences
  • Optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of the Android application
  • Maintain clean, scalable architecture and high engineering standards
  • Ship reliable, high-quality code in a fast-paced iteration cycle

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of native Android development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
  • Deep understanding of the Android SDK and modern architecture patterns
  • Experience debugging and maintaining large-scale mobile codebases
  • Strong knowledge of performance optimization and Android platform capabilities
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience building consumer-facing mobile products at scale (preferred)
  • Experience with video editing or media processing features (encoding, rendering, filters, trimming, etc.) (preferred)
  • Experience with UGC-based platforms or creator tools (preferred)
  • Experience with real-time messaging or chat systems (WebSocket, RTC, push systems) (preferred)
  • Experience in large-scale internet or high-growth tech companies (preferred)
  • Experience supporting experimentation and rapid iteration (preferred)
  • Passion for building products in 0→1 environments (preferred)
