Full job description

The role is for a junior-level Business Development position at AppLovin based in Shanghai office (on-site). The candidate will develop and maintain partnerships with mobile game and app developers, focusing on user acquisition and ad monetization in Greater China Region (GCR). Responsibilities include negotiating and building relationships, collaborating with developers to improve ad campaigns and monetization, using data to guide strategy, liaising with technical teams for support, and performing competitive analysis. Requirements include 1-3 years experience in account management, business development or sales in mobile advertising or gaming, fluency in Chinese and English, strong client management, analytical and negotiation skills, proactive problem solving, and a BA/BS degree or equivalent. Preferred candidates have a passion for technology and mobile games, and experience in startups. The role requires onsite presence in Shanghai.

What you'll do

  • Interface, negotiate and develop high-impact relationships with mobile game & app developers to build business partnerships and support company growth on User Acquisition and Ad Monetization in GCR
  • Collaborate with gaming app developers to improve advertising campaign performance and monetization stacks, troubleshoot and resolve account issues timely
  • Use data to guide strategy and implementation of AppLovin solutions, become an expert in AppLovin products and solutions
  • Liaise with internal technical & operation teams regarding developer-focused technical queries and provide customer support
  • Leverage competitive analysis and understand the mobile advertising landscape, distill complex messages into simple narratives and act on them

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in Account Management/Business Development/Sales in mobile advertising, gaming, or relevant industries
  • Fluent in Chinese and English
  • Exceptional client management skills with proven success in business/client retention and growth
  • Data-driven and detail oriented with strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proactive problem solving capabilities and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity to understand issues deeply and come up with creative solutions
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to grow
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
